For entering and leaving Nicaragua, foreigners require a valid passport with or without a visa depending on your nationality. Passports must have a validity of at least six months beyond your entry date to the country. For nationals of most countries, there’s no specific visa needed for a stay up to 90 days. You only have to purchase a Tourist Card ($10) on your arrival.
MONEY ADVICE ?
We’ll advise you to bring a little amount of cash (easiest $US) on your arrival, in small bills as it is hard for market to have change. Almost every location will accept $US, but you will get your change in the local currency Cordoba. You can consider to exchange (part of) your money in Cordoba at the airport/border which makes payment even easier because all the prices here are in local currency.
